The Walk to Remember is a long-running annual event in the Sands, and now Red Nose, community. The Walk to Remember is held in many cities across Australia, and since 2020 we have welcomed families right across the country to join us from wherever they live by accessing a virtual video version of the service, and taking the Walk in their own local communities.

The Virtual Walk to Remember video service is a beautiful opportunity to love and connect, to honour and remember the babies and children who are no longer with us. The Virtual Walk video service includes readings and reflections from bereaved families, footage from Walks across the country and of course the invitation to head out on the symbolic Walk to Remember itself - taking the footsteps our babies could not.

There are two ticket options available: 

• A Virtual Walk to Remember Pack, which includes access to the Virtual Walk to Remember video service, and a physical pack including 2 x pinwheels, a Red Nose candle, a wrist band, tissues, mindful colouring pages, a Mindful Meander card and a customisable 'I'm Walking in Memory Of' sign. The cost of postage is included in the ticket price.
• A digital access ticket, which includes access to the Virtual Walk to Remember video service and related digital materials, including a printable Make-Your-Own-Pinwheel kit, mindful colouring pages, a Mindful Meander card and a customisable 'I'm Walking in Memory Of' sign.

The Walk to Remember is a tradition that is linked to Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day/Month. We invite all bereaved Red Nose families to join us in person or virtually to remember their little ones, recognising that we have all experienced loss and that all our babies and children have missed out on very important steps with their families.

For anyone experiencing financial difficulty, a fee waiver code is available on request to communityengagement@rednose.org.au. Please note that fee waivers can only be claimed for the 'digital only' option.

We’re once again partnering with A Cut Above Byron for personalised event t-shirts, who generously donate a portion of the sale of each Walk to Remember shirt to Red Nose. Tanja requests that you make your order at least three weeks before your Walk, and if you live in WA or anywhere else where mail from the East Coast can be particularly slow, to add an extra week.
