Borderline Personality Disorder - Parent and Carer Workshop

Do you care for a family member who has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder?

Eastern Health and Knox City Council invite you to join this free workshop for parents and carers facilitated by Jen Thompson from Yarra Valley Holistic Health.

Jen Thompson has over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist and is dedicated to empowering people through connecting them to their values, increasing empathy, boundary setting, trauma informed and strength based mindsets and strategies.

From Drama to Empowerment

This session will focus on a framework of transactions in human relationships that cause distress and disempowerment (the drama triangle) and will explore ways of moving towards a more empowered way of relating to yourself and others (the empowered dynamic) and establish kind clear boundaries for wellbeing.

Humans are all capable of getting stuck in drama, especially when we are unconscious to the needs that are driving our behaviour and the behaviour of those we care about.

Bringing kindness to ourselves as carers is one of the most challenging and difficult things to do, this session will include a self-care meditation and Q & A to explore ways of staying empowered, kind and brave in our relationship to self and others.

We gratefully acknowledge funding from Carers Victoria for this event.
