Together we walk the steps our precious babies never had the chance to take.

Please join us for a multi-modal event celebrating the memory of your beautiful baby/ies.

Register online to gain access to the online service streamed via You tube. You can watch this together as a family at a time that suits you between the 10^th and 18^th October.

Then join with us on Sunday 18^th October at 3pm to take the steps our babies didn’t have the opportunity to take.

We will be gathering at Neilson’s Park Bargara (under the trees near the skating rink – look out for the walk banner). Take a walk along the pathed turtle trail either north or south or simply meander along the beach.

Upon registration to this event, you will also receive a Mindful Meander card to download and do in your family groups whilst your walk as well as details on how to have your babie/s name added to the hospital memorial artwork if you choose.

Registrations are essential for the event to assist us to comply with COVID Safe Event protocols.

After the walk you might like to enjoy a picnic or BBQ as a family or simply enjoy the surroundings for the afternoon. Stay for an early dinner of fish and chip whilst watching the sun set. Its all up to you and how your family would like to honour your baby/child.

Simply BYO chairs, picnic etc.

In the event of inclement weather, we will not be gathering, however please take some time out a family to walk at a suitable time and post your photos of the scavenger hunt, your babies name or some significant symbol to our event page in their honour.  

For personalised t-shirts and singlets, we partner with A Cut Above Byron who will sell shirts directly and make a donation per garment to Sands. Orders need to be received by 30 September at the latest to allow for postage time.
