WORKSHOP 1 - XERO TRAINING

Join this comprehensive 3 hour Xero Financial Systems training session run by one of our awesome EPIC Speakers and Financial Coach extraordinaire, Stacey Price of Healthy Business Finances a certified Xero Trainer. 

This will be an interactive session where you'll work through how to use the Xero accounting system, including: 

• An overview of the Xero system and it's capabilities
  
• How bank rules can streamline the bank feed process 
• How cash coding takes bank rules to the ultimate level 
• How to save pdf/word/excel/jpeg documents into your data file 
• How to create customised profit and loss report that is valuable to YOUR business
• How to "find things" in Xero if you ever need to hunt anything down 
• Which reports Stacey finds invaluable and uses every day 
• Creating a budget within Xero to keep you accountable 
• Ensuring your invoice template is accurate 
• How to customise your email templates for when you send out invoices, statements, reminders, etc

WORKSHOP 2 - CREATING VIDEOS & ONLINE TRAINING

After a lot of questions on this topic, I'm pleased to run a DIY Video & editing Workshop.  

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

• What EQUIPMENT you can use from your phone to high end camera 
• LIGHTING - both natural and artificial 
• SOUND - the basics on getting great sound 
• CREATING CONTENT - do you freestyle or use an auto-prompter, what are other options when it comes to creating content for your videos? 
• EDITING - tools that I use to edit videos and screen recording

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

• You want to start recording video as part of your communication and content strategy
• You want to record screen capture training videos for your audience
• You want to learn which software you can use to edit and enhance your videos
• You want to learn some tips and tricks to make this an easy and comfortable process

You'll get a chance to give it a go yourself and we'll look at how we shoot, edit and share. This is a BASICs workshop. If you've never ventured into video and you want to take the leap then this is for you. The reason that this meet up is in the day is hopefully so that we have some great natural light. We'll talk lighting but I always shoot in natural light 99% of the time.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Bring your laptop if you can
• Download Camtasia software prior to this session - which you can download free for 1 month
• If you have a camera that you already use then bring that along with a tripod if you have one

Warning: Come prepared to give it a go on the day and have a bit of fun! So have a think about something you would talk about in your business and we'll record it on the day.  

This is going to be fun and energised environment so this is nothing to worry about, we could shoot for 1 minute and get you up and running!

** PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NEED AT LEAST 6 PEOPLE IN ORDER FOR THIS WORKSHOP TO RUN

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

• Remember that training you undertake in your business can be claimed
• Each workshop will need a minimum number of people in order for them to run due to cost of facilities and trainers
• You will always get more out each workshop if you come prepared with a clear idea of what you want to learn
• There is both paid and free parking available in South Melbourne
• The eXchanger & EPIC Community social catch up is on the same evening so potentially you can head straight to that event post these training workshops.

VENUE:

As with all of the EPIC Events we look for a space that you will love being in!   The Oslen Hotel in Melbourne's gorgeous South Yarra is therefore the perfect venue to have our workshops.  We will be in Galley IV for the whole date with morning and afternoon tea served for each session.  If you are there for the day then there are plenty of lunch options along Chapel Street as well as the cafe/restaurant on the ground floor.

WIFI will be available and there is both street parking and paid parking options in and around Chapel Street.
