Stars of Eurobodalla Dance for Cancer is a gala fundraising event for Cancer Council. Since commencing in 2016 the event has raised over $92,000 with around 250 people coming every year to watch our stars and their dance partners perform everything from the hip hop, to ballet to ballroom. It is a fantastic evening with an atmosphere full of entertainment, laughter and most of all community spirit.

The event will be held on Saturday 10^th August 2019 at The Bateman’s Bay Soldier’s Club. Just like on the television show ‘Dancing with the Stars’, 12 prominent Eurobodalla community members will work with a professional dance instructor over 12 weeks to choreograph and learn a dance routine, which they then perform in front of a panel of judges and an appreciative audience at the Gala event.

The twelvedance couples will compete for four awards: Judges Choice Award, judged by an expert panel of judges on the night; People’s Choice Award, as voted by the audience on the night; and the Highest Fundraiser for the ‘star’ that raises the most funds in the lead up to the event and best costume for those who wish to get exceptionally creative with their attire.

The money raised through Stars of Eurobodalla Dance for Cancer stays local, going towards helping people living with cancer in across the Eurobodalla community, allowing Cancer Council to continue to provide access to support services, such as transport to cancer treatment, educate the community through prevention programs and provide easy access to information as well as free financial, legal and emotional support.

Tickets: $60.00 per person and this includes a 2 course meal and entertainment.
