Event Details

Macquarie College is proud to present Dr Sally Hunt PhD and Mrs Jodie Gale as hosts of a special parent event during Mental Health Month.

Jodie will share with parents the lessons learned during her clinical experience in the areas of disordered eating and body image, including relevant information about the causes, diagnosis, help and recovery from eating disorders.

Jodie has extensive experience in the field of women’s emotional, psychological and spiritual health and wellbeing.

Sally will speak with parents about self-harm, examining current theories and explanations for self-harm, before sharing practical skills for responding to self-harm and maintaining own mental health while supporting someone dealing with this problem.

While these informative talks are prepared in the first instance for parents of Senior School students, all parents are welcome.

This presentation is one of many events planned by Macquarie College to actively involve the community in positive discussions about mental health and supporting others.  Parents and their guests are welcome to attend.

Light refreshments will be served during the event.

Save the Date: On Tuesday 30th October, Dr Sally Hunt returns for a second presentation.  Click Here for details.
