“Jazz Swing’n’ Blues”with HOTEL RED featuring pianist extraordinaire STEVE SEDERGREEN

It doesn’t happen often, but it’s happening soon. Hotel Red are coming out of hiding to celebrate the Fringe Festival at the Darwin Railway Club

This time at the Rails they’ll be joined by one of Australia’s most admired and talented pianists, Steve Sedergreen. Steve and Annie met a couple of decades ago to perform at Montsalvat Jazz Festival, and their chemistry is still alive and kicking.

“He’s hot. His enthusiasm is infectious” said Annie. “He always brings out the best in the musos he works with and our gig will be no exception.”

Hotel Red’s grooves are irresistible if you’re partial to killing it on the dance floor or just soaking up some great sounds from the likes of Etta James, Al Green, BB King, Taj Mahal, Nina Simone.

“One of the great things about playing in this band is looking out and seeing people have so much fun” reckons Annie. If you’re a local you’ll know how hot this band is - Annie Gastin vocals, Dan Davies on bass, Phil Giffard and Bruce Cartwright on horns, Francis Diatschenko on guitar, keeping it all together Allen Murphy on drums with guest Steve Sedergreen pumping out some spectacular jazz grooves.
