The Government has announced a range of measures to help commercial renters through a mandatory code of conduct.

• These include a temporary hold on evictions;
• A mandatory code of conduct that prescribes rental negotiations for commercial tenancies to support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) affected by coronavirus.
• In NSW, rent reductions are available and are based on the tenant’s decline in turnover. These are designed to ensure that the burden is shared between landlords and tenants.
• There is also land tax relief for eligible landlords.
