Parent-Child Mother Goose Gathering 2019

Our Annual Gathering is a day of essential professional development and nurturing for anyone who is currently facilitating a Parent-Child Mother Goose program or who has completed the training to do so.

At this event, you will have an opportunity to make connections with others who are running Parent-Child Mother Goose programs, share songs, rhymes and stories, and participate in presentations. We'll also have a range of Canadian P-CMG resources available for sale at prices ranging from $16.50 to $33.00 (payable either by cash or by your direct EFT transfer on the day to our bank account).

The theme of this year's Annual Gathering will be feelings — so do give some thought to songs, rhymes and stories you might be able to share with others on the day that fit this theme.

We will have two presenters.

Ros Treacher will speak on Parent-Child Mother Goose as a Vehicle for Infant Mental Health.

Now a retired Maternal Child Health Nurse, Ros worked for many years in community health nursing and has been fascinated with infant mental health. Ros currently runs a weekly Parent-Child Mother Goose program at the Horace Petty Estate in Prahran with disadvantaged families as part of Stonnington's Enhanced Material and Child Health Program. Ros will use real life examples to talk about how Parent-Child Mother Goose can enhance infant mental health.

Jackie Kerin will present Build your confidence in storytelling!

A member of The Storytelling Garden, Jackie is a storyteller in the most traditional sense. As well as creating original material, Jackie collects and arranges folk literature. She tells stories from around the world with sensitivity and warmth, respecting children and their language development and cultural differences. At the Annual Gathering, Jackie will be teaching us a story that will connect with our feelings.

An early bird price of $100 is available for tickets purchased on or before Friday 27 September.

After that time, the regular price of $130 applies.

Start and finish times

The Gathering starts at 9.30 am and finishes at 4.00 pm.
 

Registration is open from 9.00 am.
