Come and learn how to make your own collection of colourful resin earrings at Mill Lane Studio. You'll learn how to work with quick curing resin, how to colour the resin and how to achieve many wonderful effects in your earrings. We'll cover a variety of techniques that will give you many different looks!

What this resin course is all about:

This is a 3-hour resin class and it covers how to work with fast curing resins to make fabulous, designer resin earrings. In the first part of the workshop, we'll cover:

• resin safety tips; and an overview of resin and what makes it cure.

And then we'll move on to the hands-on FUN!

You'll learn:

• how to measure and mix resin;
• a range of colouring techniques to create the different looks; and
• assembly techniques to turn your castings into wearable pieces of art!

What you'll make:

In the resin earrings workshop, you'll pour many different shaped resin pieces using silicone moulds. 

Once your pieces are cured, we'll demould them and turn them into earrings. You'll have cast enough pieces to mix and match your small stud castings with feature drop pieces to create both stud and earring wire styles. You'll create a collection of at least 5 pairs of fashionable earrings that you design to suit YOUR personality and style.

All the pieces you create in the workshop are yours to keep, so you'll be able to assemble the rest of your castings into jewellery at home.

If you select Option 2, you will also take home the class kit (see the kit contents below), which includes comprehensive and detailed class notes - an invaluable tool to help you recreate the colouring techniques covered in the class. 

What instruction you'll receive:

Classes are restricted in size so you receive individual instruction and you will leave the workshop confident that you can continue casting at home.

What to bring:

A long-sleeved shirt and glasses for close-up work (if you need them). Everything else is provided. Long hair should be tied back.

3.5-hour workshop - class materials and tuition only. You'll take home all the items that you make.

3.5-hour workshop including kit valued at approximately $120 which is yours to keep so you can keep making more fabulous earrings at home.

This is a great option for anyone who wants to make gifts for their family and friends. Kit includes everything you need to continue creating your own resin jewellery pieces at home including 3 resin earring moulds (9 different earring shapes), resin and resin colourants.

The kit includes all materials required for creating your own earrings (excluding jewellery bezels and findings):

• 463g polyurethane resin
• transparent resin dyes/opaque resin pigments
• 3 silicone jewellery moulds
• all safety equipment
• mixing cups and stirrers
• sanding sticks
• comprehensive class notes
