Welcome to the Sydney Cabaret Competition - our aim is to find and support a new generation of cabaret stars.

Contestants in each of the heats have already progressed through round one, and have been selected from all entries received online, and are handpicked to compete live in front of a panel of industry greats, and our audience (you, the ticket holder).

The contestants are Ali Calder, Jaime Hadwen, Clare McCallum, Simon McLachlan, Clare O'Connor, Billie Palin, Hayden Rodgers, Jodie Stubbs and Stephen Valeri!!

3 winners will be awarded at the end of each heat (2 selected by the judges, and 1 voted for by the attending audience on the night based on number of votes received). So spread the news and invite your friends and family along to support the contestants.

All winners will then compete in the Grand Final, being held as a premiere event at the Sydney Cabaret Festival on Wednesday 10 July.

Ginger's is a unique cabaret venue with booth seating and stools setup around the venue. If all seats are taken, there is plenty of space to stand.

On the night

• The show(s) may contain coarse language and adult themes. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
• Doors will open at 6.30pm - you can buy food and drinks, The Oxford Hotel has a pub food style menu.
• The competition/Show will start at approximately 7.00pm.
• Tickets will be sold on the door for $25. Cash and card are both OK.
• You DO NOT need to print your ticket, save the environment. We'll have your name at the door.
• We recommend coming early to ensure you get a seat as this is a general admission event.
