Using visual, aural, kinaesthetic guides, we’ll transform our human form into beautiful abstractions. Shift simultaneously/sequentially between images you create/observe/feel; inhabit spaces of fragment/whole, singular/multiple, solid/transparent; and find where they meet.

Dr. Laura (Amara) Osweiler is a choreographer, performer, scholar, teacher, producer from the USA, now in Sydney. Her solo, company (Ya Helewa! Dance Company) and collaborative works have been presented at concerts, festivals and conventions internationally and on video. In addition to dance studio classes, Laura has taught accredited courses at a number of universities. She was GM at Critical Path (2016-2019) and holds a PhD in Dance History and Theory from University of California, Riverside and a BA in Music History and Literature and a certificate in Ethnomusicology from The Florida State University. 

What to bring; As will be on zoom, it would be good to have a large screen to watch me and themselves. They'll need 2 torches and 2 chairs/stools to place them on. And a flat wall if possible, but we'll work with what people have.
