Tom O'Halloran Trio, Melting Pot at Clancy's Fish Pub

Ever wanted to know how jazz tunes go from brain to paper to stage? Witness a ‘melting pot’ of ideas and sound as the Tom O’Halloran Trio and lauded southwest musicians come together for a collaboration at Clancy’s Fish Pub. This ‘open rehearsal’ gives guests the chance to get up-close-and-personal with West Australian and international jazz artists to see, live, the process of workshopping tunes.

Audiences will experience the Tom O'Halloran Trio perform integrated with unique performances including local artists – a rare opportunity to gain insight into Tom's compositional ideas and his writing processes for the trio repertoire.

From modern swinging jazz through to ambient slow landscapes, the Tom O’Halloran Trio draw influence from semi-underground jazz, morph electronics into burning fast tempos, and Latin compositions into intimate ballads.

Tom regularly tours Australia with his original jazz trio comprised of Peter Jeavons (double bass) and Daniel Susnjar (drums). Together they have played large venues like the Sydney Opera House and The Promethean Theatre (Adelaide), and also the best jazz clubs in the country – including 505 and The Basement (Sydney), Bennett’s Lane and Paris Cat (Melbourne), and The Ellington Jazz Club (Perth).
