This webinar explores the theory and practice of the Descriptive Teaching Model, an approach that focuses on the use of core vocabulary during classroom activities and lessons with children using AAC systems. Descriptive talking is used with children who need to learn how to communicate strategically because they are not sufficiently literate to spell words not provided within their AAC systems. Collaborative strategies are provided to help implement descriptive talking in special and general education classrooms. This webinar is suitable for Speech Pathologists and Teachers.
